Was Jacinta Mwatela’s exit from central bank of Kenya fair?

Mrs Mwatela has served at CBK since 1977, rising to the position of Deputy Governor.

She worked in an acting capacity when former Governor Andrew Mullei was removed.

Her record of service at the CBK shows a personal commitment and struggle to make the Bank a respectable body.
Her replacement and promotion to the position of permanent secretary for the Ministry of Northern Kenya and Arid Lands was not inspired by a sense of gratitude to the 30 years of exemplary service she has given to the CBK.
It should be remembered she was supposed to have been made Governor because she had the qualification but it was never to be.
Truth be told somebody wanted her out of the way at the central bank in a hurry.

Outspoken and uncompromising on issues to do with procedure and probity, she found herself on the wrong side with powermen over the manner in which the multi-million second generation currency printing contract was handled,i wonder if her exit has got anything to do with cover ups,or maybe shutting her mouth so that she doesn’t speak because of late many probe teams have been set up.

It is an open secret that she was not in good books with the clique that wields power at both the Central Bank of Kenya and the Treasury.

Was it fair to send off Mrs. Mwatela in this style?
And what are they up to this time?

WOMEN LIKE JACINTA MWATELA SHOULD BE LEFT TO RISE AT THEIR PACE,SHE SHOULD HAVE FINISHED HER TIME IN CBK BECAUSE ALL HER LIFE FOR 30YEARS SHE HAS SHAPED UP THE INSTITUTION.

Actually there must be underhand reasons that have led to this move by the president.

yes there must be

But iam so proud of Mrs. Mwatela, she stood her ground and said no to the transfer.
Mps are also backing her move,i just pray and wish that nobody intimidates her to change her stand, because we have in the recent past seen pressure from above doing rounds in High offices.

pressure from above made the commissioner of lands and other civil servants in the Lands ministry carry out transactions without the knowledge of their minister, but am sure that pressure cannot make Mwatela abandon her long record of exellence and hardwork to stoop to the demands of those who want her out of the way.

This pressure from above haunts very many arms of government,i pray and wish that it wont haunt parliament when it opens.

I also wish that our parliament this time when it resumes session,it will deal with the urgent matters that have threatened the freedom of Kenyans ,these naming few are;the way Mwatela has been removed from CBK,Grandregency saga and also the conduct of the head of civil service mr. Francis Muthaura.

This woman should not have left CBK before she became Governor, this is one of the few places where i don’t agree with Kibaki’s move.

It was very unfair for Kibaki to remove Jacinta Mwatela from CBK,It only confirms that he too is involved in shady deals and Mwatela is a security problem
