We hear the world over,women should be part and parcel of the running of governments,societies,organizations and general affairs that affect us all,this has in the past been an effort being supported by the UN with some laws even being put in place,it is very irresponsible for the same organ that claims to fight for the rights of women to undermine the same.

I have always been proud of Anna Tibaijuka for what she has done for the society and also for her struggles and achievements,she should be reinstated back to her position.

For sure her replacement is suspect since even the manner at which it was done was not so open but this shows what the world is like even the most respectable organisations we presume as fair enough to set examples still drown in a pool of politics, there was more than meets the eye anyway in the whole process but what to do.

I take this as an insensitivity by men of this generation to recognize the
role played by women in the development of todays world.

Tibaijuka was an asset to the UN and not a liability.
